Extending & Retractable Dog Leads

Extendable leads are great for allowing your dog enough space to smell and take their walk at their own pace whilst still allowing you full control. They are great for dogs that haven’t quite nailed recall or for any spaces that require your dogs on leash.

Extendable leads come in a wide variety of lengths such as 3, 5 and 8 feet. However, some of the longer lengths do allow your dog to get very far away which can be dangerous in some situations. Because of this, we always say a 4-5 ft extendable is recommended.

Having a good lead is one of the most important elements of a safe dog walk. Others include having a correct fitting harness and a dog collar and ID tag. Other important dog walking accessories include dog poop bags and a travel water bottle for any longer walks.
