• High surface area allows the purifying, nitrification bacteria to colonise in higher numbers, and quickly.
• Compact size and shape allows for a larger amount of filter media to be used in a smaller space.
• The sintered glass tubes made of recycled glass, this unique material is excellent and efficient as it has a special three-dimensional pore structure increasing the media surface area. These fine pores provide ideal settling conditions for bacteria that break down pollutants. As this forms an interconnected system, the bacteria are permanently rinsed by water and so they can break down pollutants in the most efficient way. Additionally, the unique pore structure allows for self-purification of the media and thus very long intervals between cleaning.
• Both aerobic and anaerobic micro-organisms can settle due to their unique three-dimensional structure consisting of pores and open pored canals of suitable size. Only this allows Siporax to both break down nitrite and reduce nitrate. The efficiency of Siporax depends on, among others, fish and plant stock, food amount as well as the size and flow rate of the filter device.
• In combination with specialized bacteria, Sera Siporax even fulfils a variety of other special tasks such as algae prevention or directed water conditioning.
• pH neutral, water parameters are stabilized, and maintenance is reduced.

Usage:

• Use 500ml of media per 100L of aquarium water.
• For best results, use with Sera Bio Nitrivec Liquid Biofilter Medium filter bacteria.
