Length and weight — what they mean for your walk

A shorter lead isn’t just about looks — it changes how a walk feels. Because this lead measures 100cm rather than the longer 120cm+ leads on the market, your dog stays closer to your side, which gives you quicker control around traffic, other dogs, or distractions. At the same time, the 50kg weight rating means it’s built to handle a genuine pull from a large, strong dog, not just smaller breeds.

As a general guide:

• Suitable for dogs up to 50kg — this covers most breeds, from a Cocker Spaniel right up to a Labrador, Golden Retriever or German Shepherd

Caring for it

This lead can go in the machine at 30°C, but skip the tumble dryer. Air dry fully before your next walk. Check it regularly for wear and replace it if you spot any fraying or damage, especially around the clip.
